Express Entry is Canada's flagship immigration system designed to attract skilled workers from around the world. It is the fastest and most transparent pathway to Canada PR, managing applications under three major economic immigration programs.
Candidates create an online profile and are ranked using the Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS). The highest-ranked applicants receive an Invitation to Apply (ITA) for Canadian Permanent Residence.

Work Experience
Minimum 1 year continuous full-time skilled work (NOC TEER 0-3) within last 10 years for FSW
Education
ECA required for foreign degrees. Higher education = more CRS points
Language Proficiency
CLB 7 for FSW/CEC (NOC 0/A), CLB 5 for FSTP/CEC (NOC B)

CRS: Scoring & Selection
Comprehensive Ranking System scored out of 1,200 points
Eligible candidates are admitted to the Express Entry Pool, where they are dynamically ranked using the Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS).
The CRS assigns a score out of 1,200 based on core human capital factors: age, education, language ability, work experience, and adaptability. Regular draws select the highest-ranked candidates for an ITA.
